I was in Geneva this past Monday, for TAG Heuer’s celebration of the 50th Birthday of the Carrera chronograph.  I will be posting a complete report, but will provide this quick preview of some of the beautiful Carreras that we saw.  

Watchmaker / collector Abel Court shows us his “Best of 2012”, and this may be the most amazing posting you will see in all of 2013!! Have a look at this display of amazing Heuers and other vintage chronographs!!  

Today’s vintage Heuer:  a “milk chocolate” Autavia, Reference 1163.  This is one of my favorite “finds” of 2012.

Today’s vintage Heuer … a red Silverstone, powered by the Caliber 12 movement.  Monday night, we root for the Alabama Crimson Tide in the BCS championship game!!

Oops … almost forgot the pre-New Year’s resolution, to post more watch photos on Tumblr.  This is the vintage Autavia that became the “poster watch” for the Autavia 50th Birthday celebration, when it was featured on TAG Heuer’s Facebook page.  Definitely drew a lot of “oohs” and “aahs”.
